Sunday School Class

We can assist with the set up Sunday school classes or clubs in a church which may be segregated for individuals with special needs. We will with your church looking at ways to integrate these persons as much as possible, recognizing that segregated classes are an option to serve people who have more challenging needs.

Adapt Programs

We would provide information on how to adapt programs, materials and lessons for classes and programs to help with integration into classes and programs.

There may be physical adaptations as well for special needs persons to better function in that environment.

Workshops and Training Seminars

We will provide workshops and training for church leaders, workers and volunteers so they can work, teach and meet the needs of individuals with special needs within their church.

Special Needs Plan

We will assist your organization in making a special needs plan for a church in preparation for an individual family coming to or currently attending a specific church. We will insure a support system is available to assist this family with their various needs. If there is a plan in place, people can quickly come together and address the needs of this family. This will allow families to feel welcomed and have their needs met by the church either the moment they arrive or in a timely manner.

Child Protection Policy

We will work with your team to establish or adapt your Child Protection Policy to meet the needs of children/adults with special needs and allowing their workers to meet their physical, social and behavioral needs. We will assist churches in making physical accommodations to meet the needs of individuals with special needs. We will support churches by giving them information regarding the installation of ramps, elevators, and lifts to accommodate persons with physical needs.
